About Solis Marine Engineering

Solis Marine established a dedicated vessel design and engineering division in 2018 in Falmouth, UK with a second operation in Singapore in 2021. Our team provides a range of engineering and design services for clean shipping, marine renewables and offshore projects. More than 90% of our engineering work is related to marine decarbonisation or renewable energy - this is what drives our team to produce innovative design solutions on a daily basis.

Our naval architects and engineers come from varied backgrounds in the shipping, oil and gas, defence and renewable energy industries. As such, we can provide a full range of design engineering services from all aspects of vessel design through to offshore project support, transportation analysis and mooring design.

We have a proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and on budget to both private organisations and government agencies and are able to offer an agile approach to meet ambitious time frames with innovative solutions. Our work has been recognised by several industry awards and has resulted in a tangible contribution to the energy transition.

The engineering team works closely with our shipping consultants. Benefiting from the practical and operational expertise of our master mariners and marine engineers, we ensure key operational considerations are incorporated from the earliest possible stage in a design.

The engineering team also assists with shipping incident and investigations, salvage and wreck removal, and other expert technical services for the shipping and maritime industries. Access to complex hydrodynamic and structural analysis experts whenever and wherever required means that these solutions can be provided to our shipping clients in the most timely and cost effective manner.
