About Solis Marine Shipping
Established in 2012, Solis Marine is established as a leading global marine and engineering consultancy with offices in the UK, Singapore and China, as well as a network of global Alliance partners. Our senior experts regularly give expert evidence in court and arbitration in relation to a wide range of issues including collisions, groundings, tugs and manoeuvring, unsafe ports and berths, cargo issues, machinery failure, passage planning, LOF salvage, personal injury, vessel operations, prudent seamanship and damage to submarine pipelines.
We have three Special Casualty Representatives (SCRs) on the panel at Lloyd’s who have been heavily involved in a number of high profile and politically sensitive wreck removal and salvage operations. Our SCRs are supported by a wider team of salvage consultants who also attend on site on a regular basis and provide us with the depth to manage time consuming and complex operations. This includes our naval architects, who also have practical salvage and wreck removal experience working on behalf of both vessel owners and insurers as well as directly for salvors.
Our shipping division works closely with our engineering team that operates out of Falmouth and Singapore, focussing on clean shipping, marine renewables and offshore projects. Access to this expertise in-house provides an unrivaled resource for our shipping team who can rely on engineering analysis solutions and knowledge whenever and wherever required to assist our clients.
